Christine Pionk has worked in a hospital occupational health setting as a Nurse Practitioner for almost 30 years. Her responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries/illnesses and evaluation of selected primary care injuries/illnesses. She has been a member of several committees, including the Infection Prevention Committee and Sharps Task Force. Pionk served a leadership role on the AOHP Executive Board as the Executive Treasurer. She precepts graduate nursing students in the University of Michigan Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Pionk served as the Lead Editor for the 2016 edition of the Getting Started manual. She is a board certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist from ABOHN. Providing care for the caregivers continues to be an extremely rewarding role!
